Biography
Margaret Crumlish is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Stirling, UK. After completing her PhD at Stirling in frog farming, she continued in the field of aquatic microbiology, specializing in Asian aquatic animals of socio-economic significance. She is interested in developing safe and sustainability produced aquatic food products. Her research interests are focused on improving aquatic animal health. She is currently working on bacterial diseases of farmed catfish (P. hypophthalmus) and tilapia (Oreochromis spp.) looking at pathogenesis, vaccines and mitigating development of antibiotic resistance.
